FAQs

  • My sessions are 45 minutes long.

I determine the session frequency in collaboration with my clients. I generally recommend meeting at least once per week, although in some cases, I might suggest multiple sessions per week to deepen our work. In specific situations, less frequent meetings can be accommodated based on financial needs, scheduling constraints, and the treatment plan, but this is not the norm.

  • Change takes time. Although some individuals may experience symptom relief early in treatment, typically within the first few months, I strongly recommend continuing beyond this stage. In my experience, symptoms often resurface or transform unless thoroughly understood.

The most significant and lasting changes often manifest several years into treatment. It requires a lifetime to establish the patterns that lead us to therapy initially. Breaking down and reconstructing the way we exist in the world is a time-consuming but rewarding endeavor.

  • When a therapist offers a sliding scale, it signifies a willingness to accept a reduced fee based on what the client can sustainably afford. My sliding scale encompasses a range, and the mutually agreeable fee will be determined through discussion. I have incorporated this approach into my practice because I believe it is a way to address inequity.
